Thank you for the friendly welcome! It was nice to make my debut a winning one, and hope to provide many more. A quick good luck today!

College Football Saturday, November 13

My first selection on my card of 4 plays begins with a total play in the Northwestern/Michigan game. The Wolverines on offense are putting up a solid 30 ppg, and this number should inflate as they face a Wildcat's defense that's allowing a generous 25.6 ppg. The Wildcat's passing game surrenders 253 ypg, which bodes well for Michigan's QB Chad Henne and his solid receiving corps led by Braylon Edwards to make big plays generating a big score. As well, the Wolverines are coming off a bye, so expect crisp offensive execution. Michigan has a respectable defense allowing 20.4 ppg, but the Wildcats are a dangerous team against any B10 foe, and do possess the offensive talent to chip in to help the Wolverines put this game over the number. The two club's last 2 most recent meeting both went over the number, combining for 156 pts. This contest has all the makings for a B10 shootout!

Pick: Over the total of 48.5

The Pitt Panthers roar into ND as a double-digit dog to face the Irish. When oddsmakers tag the Panthers a dog of 8 pts or more they are a solid 7-2 ATS. The Irish are 4-6 ATS in their last ten outings when favored by 8 or more pts. Oddsmakers aren't giving the Panthers much of a chance to take the cash, installing them as the double-digit dog, which will motivate Pitt. The big spread is due in part to the fact the Irish are 5-1 ATS in the last six games played between the two. Walt Harris's Panthers are a solid club at 3-2 SU in conference play & 5-3 overall. Offensively, Pitt has a clear edge posting 27.3 ppg verses ND's 24.4 ppg. ND owns the edge on defense at they give up 18.8 ppg, with Pitt allowing 23.5. When combining both team's strength on each side of the ball, numbers become very equal and getting a bundle of pts, the Panthers are the play in this game!

Pick: Pitt Panthers +11

The Boilermakers have a chance to make up ground on the Buckeyes in the B10 standings when the teams take the gridiron at Ross-Ade Stadium. When taking to the road, the Buckeyes are a money-shredding 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games. Meanwhile, when playing at home the Boilers have fattened the wallet's of their investors with a solid 8-3 ATS mark when playing in front of the home folks in their last 11 games playing the role of host. Buckeye's QB Troy Smith has played well under center since taking over the starting spot, but this week he'll be facing a much stronger defense he's lined up against in his last two games. The Bolier's defense is allowing a stingy 15.3 ppg (12th in the nation). Even if Boiler's star QB Kyle Orten don't see PT, their defense wins this game.

Pick: Purdue -4.5

Grant it, USC is the premier team of college football this year, and as the 5 TD chalk indicates, on paper Arizona doesn't have a chance to pull off the upset. However, taking the cash is within reach for Arizona. The Wildcats have covered the number in their last two trips into USC, and in this game I'm riding strictly on the fact 35 pts will be tough for the Trojans to cover, despite their muscle!

Pick: Arizona +35
